World-leading sustainable thinkers will come together today for Green Cities 2015, a three day conference being held at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne.
A keynote speaker at the three day event, which is being held from March 17-19, is the father of the Vancouver model of new urbanism, Larry Beasley.
He will be joined by a long list of international speakers on day one of the event while day two will bring together local industry including Barangaroo general manager of sustainability, Anita Mitchell, Jacobs Engineering senior consultant, Christoph Begert and Lend Lease head of sustainability, Geoff Dutaillis.
On day three participants have an opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest green building innovations during Green Star site tours and in depth master classes with conference keynotes.
There will be a wide range of themed sessions during the event on topics ranging from 'robust and resilient cities' to 'retrofitting our cities' and 'high performance buildings'.
Now in its ninth year, Green Cities is co-hosted by the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia.
