The role of technology in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry will be a central theme at the CCN Live Conference on August 8, 2013.

The conference theme "HVAC&R in the year 2025" will lead the technology session with presentations from the CSIRO and ActronAir.

CSIRO research manager, Dr Stephen White, will lead the technology session and be followed by ActronAir's business unit manager for engineering and business excellence James Martin.

ActronAir has been designing and engineering air conditioners for the Australian market for almost 30 years.

Leading innovations include the energy smart performance range, Tri-capacity and Hercules.

As an Australian owned manufacturer of ducted air conditiones, ActronAir is passionate about changing the status quo and reducing the impact of heating and cooling on the environment.

In his presentation Martin will talk about raising the bar for energy efficiency now and beyond 2025.

His presentation follows a special session on the introduction of national licensing for refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics.

Licensing was expected to begin on July 1 this year but has been postponed until 2014.

National Occupational Licensing Authority (NOLA) board chair, Elizabeth Crouch, will talk about the delay and take questions from the audience during her exclusive presentation at CCN Live.
