The ARBS Foundation has extended the deadline period to apply for research grants to May 31, 2016.

Without the extension applications would have closed tomorrow April 30, 2016.

However, ARBS Foundation chair, Ian Hopkins, said the directors agreed to extend the application period to accommodate the ARBS Exhibition in Melbourne from May 17-19, 2016.

"We will now receive proposals right through to the end of May," he said.

"This will allow discussion among industry participants during the ARBS Exhibition."

Research proposals are invited from individual people (including students), companies or education institutions.

The board is making available $25,000 for the next three years to support research. Three priority areas for study and research have been identified including: Solar power and HVAC; Intelligent building controls and; Indoor environmental quality.
