The new licence cards to be issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) will feature the words 'Restrictions Apply' in bold, red lettering (pictured).
This will ensure consumers and licence holders have a clear understanding of what services the licence holder can provide, according to ARC CEO, Glenn Evans.
“By highlighting the words “Restrictions Apply” in red text on a Restricted ARC licence card, we are really making the consumer and the licence holder conscious of what the licence holder can and cannot do,” he said.
“For restricted licence holders, the licence cards have always displayed the “Restrictions Apply” warning, as well as listing the do’s and don’ts of the licence type.
“But the ARC feels the added measure of making the text red will provide more incentive for questions to be asked, and service restrictions to be clarified.”
