Global design and consultancy firm, Arcadis Australia Pacific yesterday announced the appointment of Pru Sanderson to the newly created role of Melbourne City Executive to support the company’s strong continued growth in the Victorian capital.
Sanderson is an urban development, place-making and city sustainability expert, with significant experience in both the public and private sectors.
Sanderson was previously the CEO of VicUrban, and has held various leadership positions including at GHD, Federation Square and Monash Property Management, and as a Director of the Committee for Melbourne, Parks Victoria and the Zoo Board.
Arcadis Australia Pacific client and coprorate development director, Stephen Uhr, said that as the company continues to grow and win city-changing projects in Melbourne, it’s crucial to have the best holistic thinkers and place-makers in the business.
“Pru brings strong city-level experience to Arcadis and I’m very excited to welcome her to the team," Uhr said.
“We are in the business of Australia’s future cities, so Pru’s experience in everything from Zoos to urban development will provide strong value to both our teams and clients."
Sanderson said Arcadis is a unique business in Australia with its ability to strategically plan, design, deliver and manage major infrastructure.
“Melbourne is rapidly evolving and the state government has a clear strategy to enhance Melbourne’s liveability as the population grows. I can’t wait to work with my fellow Arcadians to help bring that to life,” she said.
