Australia's HVACR industry has until November 16, 2015 to respond to Option Papers released by the Federal Government as part of its review of the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act. Four preliminary packages were released ranging from minimum reform to meet the objectives of the review to high level reform to achieve maximum reductions in emissions. The Department of Environment is seeking submissions from industry pointing out that the "options have been developed to provide a point of discussion and are not final recommendations." Information sessions will be held in Sydney on October 20 and Melbourne on October 21, 2015. The Option Papers are supported by a range of documents including a technical analysis, environmental impact analysis and cost benefit analysis.
