Its that time of year again when the HVACR industry gets to showcase an abundance of talent with the official launch of CCN’s 2019 Leadership Awards earlier today.

The search is on for innovators, pioneers and climate control champions, as well as talented tradies. That's right the Tradie of the Year Award is back thanks to sponsorship from Kirby Australia.

This category hasn't been included in the awards lineup since 2017 when it was won by Grosvenor Engineering Group technician, Jason Glendenning.

Tradie of the Year Award

Kirby sales and marketing manager, Brett Hedge, said tradies are on the frontline of the industry and deserve to be recognised.

He said it was important to Kirby that tradies were included in the 2019 awards program.

“Across our branch network and through our Field Engineers and Account Managers we see the excellent work done by the industry contractor base,” Hedge said. “They overcome physical challenges in the field, are constantly keeping abreast of new products and technologies and deal with business issues daily.

“They deserve recognition. We encourage all tradespeople or business owners with a stand-out employee to take a moment to enter a submission,” Hedge said.

“It is easy to do and will show your employee how much you value their commitment to their work and your business. Individuals shouldn’t be shy to recognise themselves either – you work hard and it’s okay to be rewarded and recognised for that.”

Nominations officially open tomorrow, May 1, 2019 so get in early.  To nominate go to: www.climatecontrolnews.com.au/awards
