Norman Disney & Young (NDY) has announced a number of new appointments following a management restructure.

In Australia, Sam Aloi has been promoted from Melbourne office manager to the role of Australian regional director, with responsibility to overview the strategic direction and operations of NDY’s eight Australian offices.

Given the Australian operations account for a significant proportion of the group’s activities, fellow director and Perth office manager Alan Edler has been appointed as a second Australian representative on the NDY group Executive.

In the Sydney office, Tim Spies has been appointed as the incoming office manager replacing Campbell Williams who has led the Sydney office through a successful period of sustained growth over the past few years.

Williams will remain in the Sydney office in a high level capacity focusing on key clients and major projects, and plans to eventually relocate to his family home base in Queensland.

Spies formally begins his new role on May 20th, following on from his previous work in NDY’s UK operations, including a stint as office manager for NDY’s Manchester office.

In other senior level appointments, NDY board member Patrick Fogarty is now director, clients & strategy, a role that will afford Fogarty a dedicated focus on NDY’s key strategic objectives including a significant focus on customer-centricity.

Fellow director George Balales will head up the newly created role of director, engineering & operations, a position that allows Balales to consolidate a number of discipline and technical directors under the one operational umbrella.

NDY CEO Stuart Fowler made the announcement after a shareholder meeting.

"The NDY shareholders agreed on a structure that improves our operational efficiency: streamlining reporting lines and ensuring our approach is aimed at underpinning our key strategic initiatives," he said.

"These appointments and newly created roles signify our dedicated focus on being a trusted, reliable and technically excellent professional services firm to our clients across three continents.”

In conjunction with these senior management changes, NDY also announced a number of important staff appointments. These include:
