Panasonic today announced a new range of Inverter air conditioners with smart features and enhanced technology.

The range boasts an air conditioner and air purifier in one unit.

The latest reverse cycle air conditioners feature the new Nanoe-G air purifying system.

Nanoe-G is an active air purifying system that deactivates unwanted airborne particles,as well as surface based particles.

It removes 99 per cent of airborne bacteria, viruses and mould as well as deactivating 99 per cent of viruses and bacteria on surfaces

Panasonic Australia's group marketing manager for air conditioning, Mathew Harrison, said that in addition to Nanoe-G the range features Demand Response technology, which allows energy suppliers to remotely lower device energy consumption during peak loads.

The latest ECONAVI technology uses area search, absence detection, and low activity detection to moderate the temperature according to room usage.

The new smart sunlight detection feature detects sunlight intensity and adjusts cooling power accordingly.

Users can also select Autocomfort mode, which has the added feature of high activity detection to increase cooling when activity in the room increases. Both the Autocomfort and ECONAVI functions can be selected using the remote control.

The Mild Dry Cooling feature helps prevent a rapid decrease in air moisture while maintaining the set temperature so the air is less dry, for a more comfortable atmosphere in the home.

Mild Dry Cooling reduces unwanted side effects of air conditioning, like dry mouths, throats or skin.

The new range has an industry leading operating range from -15° up to 46° so even the harshest Australian temperatures are covered.

The new design has a slimline look while the ventless intake grill makes the units easier to clean.

Panasonic has also launched five new cooling only models as part of its range.
