Panasonic Australia has bolstered its growing air conditioning division with two new hires, highlighting the company’s focus on specialist installers and developers.

The new team will enable Panasonic to drive further growth in its range of air conditioning products among installers for commercial and residential buildings.

With residential construction across Australia booming, this is a growing area for the company and will give property customers better access to products tailored to their needs.

The new division is now comprised of a dedicated product and marketing team and a commercial sales team, with both teams hiring new executives to broaden their expertise.

Joe De Bella has recently joined the company as product marketing manager with more than 20 years of engineering, product and marketing experience.

Sam Garside also joins as commercial air conditioning engineer, with more than 20 years’ experience in commercial sales and service. Panasonic will be making further appointments to grow the team, according to Richard Tassone, director of the consumer electronics group.

He said this strategic expansion allows Panasonic to continue leading in the air conditioning market across vertical markets, including mining, construction, residential, hotels, retail, education and hospitals.

“The Australian construction industry is booming and we’re seeing a renewed demand from specialist installers for energy efficient, innovative and flexible air conditioning products,” he said.

“The strengthened division allows us to continue our success and ensure customer needs are met. By developing market-leading commercial technology to meet the needs of every building type, we can offer customers more flexibility to adapt to various designs and structures.”

Tassone said Panasonic has invested significantly in research and development to provide a complete range of air conditioning products for commercial use.

“The new range features energy efficient, cost-effective cooling and heating solutions, flexible enough to adapt to all types of buildings, while offering ease of use for the end user,” he sid.

Panasonic products are distributed to the specialist market via distributors including Panasales (NSW, ACT & QLD), Industrial Air (SA & NT) and Turner Engineering (VIC & WA). For details visit www.panasonicair.com.au.
