The federal government is planning to release the State of Australian Cities 2012 report which outlines the progress and performance of Australia’s 18 largest cities.
The report will be launched in Melbourne tomorrow by the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Anthony Albanese.
It is the third year in a row that the report has been released.
The launch will take place at a lunch hosted by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Australia will be home to more than 35 million people by 2050 with up to 85 per cent of the population residing in cities.
