Jon Seeley has been appointed to a newly created role of group managing director for the Seeley International Group of Companies.

The company's founder and executive chairman, Frank Seeley, said the appointment is in line with the group's strategic plan.

As a result of the rapid growth experienced over the past few years and the increased diversity and breadth of its operations, shareholders and the Board saw a need to look to the future in establishing a more robust corporate structure to drive the goal of developing a $1 billion company.

Seeley said the new position will drive further growth, innovation and business development across all of the Seeley entities.

In the role Jon Seeley will draw upon his broad financial management and mergers and acquisitions experience.

"This will complement the exceptional leadership which has been and will continue to be delivered by long-serving Seeley International managing director Paul Proctor, who will maintain his focus on growing the successful global air conditioning business," he said.

Jon Seeley will also continue to oversee the development of recently formed companies as well as future acquisitions, to ensure the realisation of Seeley International’s growth strategy.

"We intend to accelerate that growth by leveraging the increased benefit which will result from Jon Seeley and Paul Proctor working together and leading our already exceptional management team and staff towards our goal," Seeley said.

"This will enable us to take on even greater challenges in the expansion of both our product and service offerings into national and international markets.”

Jon Seeley has been an executive director of Seeley International for a number of years and was based in Melbourne. He will relocate to the head office in Lonsdale, South Australia to take up his new position.

“I am very excited by the challenges of the new role and am looking forward to an expansion of my duties across all the many and various businesses and operations within the Seeley International Group and preparing us for the growth we see in manufacturing in Australia and elsewhere,” he said.
