Standards Australia in partnership with the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) will host a series of seminars on revisions to AS 1668 which covers the use of ventilation and air conditioning in buildings.
Standards Australia CEO Colin Blair said the seminars are an opportunity for industry to hear first-hand from the technical experts.
The series will outline changes to AS 1668 in two parts: AS 1668.2 - mechanical ventilation of buildings and; AS 1668.4 - natural ventilation of buildings.
The Standards Australia committee has prepared the documents for consideration by the Australian Building Codes Board for adoption in the National Construction Code.
Changes include the new classifications for exhausts, improved provisions regarding odour control of exhaust discharge and a review of ventilation rates for car parks.
The seminars are ideal for regulatory authorities, mechanical services designers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, facilities managers, and building owners.
They will be held in Adelaide (December 10), Brisbane (December 3), Canberra (November 27), Darwin (December 4), Hobart (November 29), Melbourne (November 28), Perth (December 11) and Sydney (November 26).
