GEA Refrigeration Components supplied two Grasso Ingenium Plus NH3 chillers and 33 Kuba coolers to contracting firm ACME Industrial Refrigeration Engineers for a smallgoods wholesaler in Perth.
The installation was completed late last year at the British Sausage facility in Bibra Lake.
The Ingenium Plus chillers are manufactured by GEA Grasso while the Kuba evaporators are manufactured by GEA Kuba in China.
In the past, this sort of installation would have run on freon, but the GEA Grasso chillers are small heat load, critically charged units operating on ammonia (NH3) and a circulating secondary fluid through the evaporators, thus minimising energy consumption and carbon footprint.
