The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) is calling for abstracts for the Solar Heating and Cooling Workshop 2015, which will be held at the University of Wollongong on Thursday, April 23 next year.

AIRAH CEO Phil Wilkinson said  solar heating and cooling have incredible potential to help Australia deal with some of its electricity grid issues such as reducing greenhouse gases and infrastructure costs.

Topics must be relevant and abstracts should be between 200 and 300 words and can range from case studies to innovations, system design and related technologies such as direct and indirect evaporative cooling.

Solar workshop committee chair Jeremy Osborne said the addition of solar heating to the agenda provies a point of difference from the 2014 event.

Osborne said to date, financial issues have impacted the development of solar cooling.

Abstracts should be sent by December 8, 2014 and information is available at www.airah.org.au/SolarWorkshops2015.
