In the wake of the Hastie Group collapse, entrepreneurs and mechanical services specialists David Deane-Freeman and Daniel Perkins, have launched a new start-up company.

Both Freeman and Perkins held senior positions at South Australian business Frigrite which was part of the Hastie Group.

They said the collapse of the Frigrite business was an opportunity to launch their business which focusses on the design and construction of mechanical services for the building services industry.

They formed DCM Services (Design and Construct Mechanical Services Pty Ltd) to provide
specialist mechanical services installations.

DCM Services has already secured a major project with global shopping centre giant Westfield.

The impressive win covers design, construct and delivery of the mechanical and air conditioning services for the $70 million Westfield West Lakes Shopping Centre redevelopment in South Australia.

Since launching last year DCM Services has completed a number of successful projects including a McDonald's restaurant upgrade, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre HVAC upgrade and the Norwood AMF Bowling Centre project.

DCM Services has financial backing from Seeley International, Australia's largest air conditioning manufacturer, allowing it to tackle jobs of all sizes and complexity.

The Board of Directors includes Frank Seeley (Chair), Kathy Seeley, Jon Seeley, Brian Cunningham, Paul Proctor, David Deane-Freeman, and Daniel Perkins.

As DCM Services managing director, Freeman, said its important to have the support of Seeley International which has significant resources and capabilities.

"With this strong foundation, we can confidently provide exceptional quality services and innovative solutions, with an emphasis on project delivery," he said.

"Our approach to the mechanical services industry is very straightforward – we listen to clients, then we plan, construct and deliver successful projects."
