D&T Refrigeration, HVAC & Electrical apprentice, Michelle Rose, identified the refrigeration and air conditioning trade as one that wouldn’t be replaced by AI.
“I reached out to a number of companies before getting my apprenticeship at D&T,” she says.
“This job is never boring, every day there is a new experience,” she says.
“It may sound like a cliché but no two days are the same. I learn from the more experienced technicians and then I put my own spin on how I want to work.”
Michelle says the schooling is the most challenging part of the trade.
“For now I just want to finish my apprenticeship, COVID extended my training due to school closures,” she says. “I want to hone my skills and one day I could be running my own business.”
