Automatic Heating has launched its latest offering, the Duraflex Smart Refill, which is designed and manufactured in Australia.

This innovative product boasts advanced features that offer enhanced efficiency and reliability, making it the perfect choice for high hazard applications.

The new Duraflex Smart Refill is a fail-safe and fully approved backflow prevention solution that feeds water into process systems containing unpotable water.

It complies with the Australian AS3500 National Plumbing and Drainage code, which strictly forbids the direct connection of mains potable water supply to any process system that may contain hazardous chemicals or toxic substances.

Featuring early detection of water loss, the Duraflex Smart Refill continually monitors the system and displays the average amount of water added per day on the LCD panel.

The Smart Refill triggers warning alarms for excessive water leakage and flood alarms for extensive loss, preventing costly damage to the system.

To make installation easy, the new Set-Up Wizard guides the installer to enter basic operational information and automatically calculates and sets pump control points and safety limits.

The electronic microprocessor-equipped PCB controls the various operating functions of the new Smart Refill, and the backlit LCD panel displays the current system operating information.

Suitable for all high-hazard applications, including chemically treated closed circuit heating or cooling water systems, cleaning in place (CIP) systems for heat exchangers in wine and food industries, and water supply for kitchen hood wash down cycles, the Smart Refill offers the option of single and dual pumps, that can operate with low mains pressure feed.

To lengthen the working life of boilers, heat exchangers, valves and pipework, an automatic corrosion inhibitor dosing system ensures sufficient corrosion protection.

Automatic Heating director, Terry Plaisted, said the company is proud to introduce the new Duraflex Smart Refill.

“Early detection of system water loss is vital to the prevention of damage to critical systems. Water is crucial in any heating and cooling system,” he said.

“For systems to run efficiently, it is imperative to understand the pressures and volumes in the system.”
