LG Electronics has debuted a full suite of data centre cooling solutions at Data Centre World 2025.
Designed to address the increasing demands of high-capacity data centres, LG's innovative portfolio offers an end-to-end cooling solution, effectively managing heat from data centre chips to external heat rejection while also optimising room cooling.
These solutions aim to enhance efficiency and help reduce downtime in this mission-critical industry.
Data Centre World 2025 was held this week in Washington at a time when global demand for data centre capacity is expected to grow between 19 and 22 per cent annually through 2030.
LG Electronics US senior vice president, Steve Scarbrough, said as data centre capacity expands, so does the challenge ofmanaging the heat generated by high-performance chips.
“LG's cutting-edge cooling technologies are intended to meet this challenge head-on, helping provide reliable, energy-efficient solutions, “he said.
“Between the data for our phones on the go, our laptops at work and our smart TVs at home, data centres play a crucial role in our day-to-day lives, and cooling solutions are a critical component for equipment to run as expected.
"LG aims to be a unique player in the market, helping to meet demands of future data centre projects and make specifying and development easier with our efficient end-to-end cooling solution offerings."
Data Center World 2025 marks the official launch of LG's proven cooling technologies for the US data center market.
Highlights of cooling solutions on display at the event include Cold Plate, this solution for high-powered chips in data centres can provide enhanced leak protection and can be optimized for a customer's specific needs, including chip length and height and with machine learning software.
Also on display is LG’s Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) which can provide high efficiency and reliability with LG Virtual Sensor technology that enables continuous operation and helps diagnose sensor failure prediction.
Finally, LG’s Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH) offers convenient installation, maintenance, high-efficiency LG 3D Blade EC Fans and low static pressure oval coils.
Leveraging its HVAC cooling innovations unveiled at Data Centre World, LG is joining forces with Microsoft on AI data centres.
With LG's thermal management systems and advanced chiller technologies optimized for AI data centres, this new alliance aims to enhance energy efficiency in these critical backbones of AI infrastructure.
Together, Microsoft and LG plan to create next-generation data centres that are more efficient and sustainable.
