Panasonic has announced the introduction of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility to its entire range of reverse-cycle and cooling-only air conditioning systems, giving Australians total control, comfort and convenience.
All Wall Split models (Z-VKR, RZ-VKR and U-TKR) and commercial air conditioning solutions featuring Panasonic’s smart Wi-Fi control option(1) will enable users to tailor their air-conditioning needs with a simple voice command(2).
Users can say hello to hands-free control at home or from a smartphone - anywhere, anytime.
Users just need to pair Panasonic’s WLAN Smart Adaptor (CZ-TACG1 or CZ-CAPWFC13) and Comfort Cloud App with any of the Panasonic air conditioners like Wall Split, Ducted or Cassette systems, then link their Google Home or Amazon Alexa using the App.
Voice control can be used for simple tasks such as on and off, operating modes, temperature settings and checking operating status - revolutionising the use, monitoring and management of air-conditioners in the home.
For optimum comfort, a customised routine can also be created via settings in the Google Home app or Alexa Routines.
Commands such as “Hey Google, Good Morning” can be programmed to set the desired temperature, saving users’ time for a more relaxed and convenient day.
Panasonic Australia's senior product marketing manager for air conditioning, Joe De Bella, said customers are always looking for greater freedom and connectivity, and the availability of voice control is another positive step for Panasonic’s innovative Smart Home system.
“People who are used to controlling their lighting and audio with their voice, can now also set preferences for their Panasonic air conditioning system to create the desired air conditioning environment,” he said.
Voice control is available in English now, with other languages to be rolled out in coming months.
