Christopher Norbye has been appointed CEO and president of refrigeration wholesaler, Beijer Ref.
Norbye was executive vice-president at Swedish access solutions company Assa Abloy and is expected to take over in the fourth quarter.
He replaces Per Bertland who was in the position for eight years.
Norbye joined Assa Abloy in 2017 and prior to that spent 10 years at Sandvik.
Commenting on the appointment, Beijer Ref chair Kate Swann said Norbye is a highly commercial and business-oriented leader with a strong track record.
“He combines global scale and focused execution orientation with an engaging leadership style. Beijer Ref has had a fantastic journey during Per’s tenure with several years of strong growth in both sales and earnings. I look forward to supporting Christopher as he continues to develop Beijer Ref, both organically and through acquisitions,” Swann said.
