Embraco has launched a new line of compressors with digital capacity modulation technology as well as its second generation of the Sync it All portfolio of integrated electronic components.
The new Embraco Pulse introduces digital capacity modulation technology to Embraco’s scroll portfolio, enabling precise cooling capacity from 10% to 100%.
In this kind of technology, the motor runs continuously at a fixed speed while a solenoid valve rapidly switches the compression mechanism between loaded (compressing) and unloaded (coasting) states, achieving better temperature stability and control across a wide range of operational demands.
The structure is similar to standard fixed-speed scroll compressors, making it easy to apply and maintain.
The Embraco Pulse portfolio offers capacities from 2HP to 15HP, with applications in both refrigeration and heating. In refrigeration, it serves multideck reach-ins and cold rooms, while in heating, it's ideal for space heating and agriculture use, such as drying chambers.
Nidec Global Appliance head of marketing, engineering, and sales of Nidec Scroll Technology, Alessandro Pedrazzi, said the new Embraco scroll product line delivers what the market demands: low noise levels, superior temperature stability that prevents product loss from freeze burn or dehydration, and energy savings during low-load operation.
The product launch took place at AHR Expo Las Vegas 2026 where Embraco also unveiled Sync it All Pro, the evolution of Embraco's Sync it All integrated components strategy.
This new generation is composed of the Embraco Sync Pro controller, Embraco Air Pro fan motor, Embraco Flow Pro fan pack, Embraco variable-speed compressors, and the updated version of the YouControl development software.
The Pro generation brings significant advancements in capacity and functionality. The Embraco Sync Pro controller manages up to 16 components, including 12 variable-speed units (which can be compressors and/or fan motors) and four auxiliary components such as defrost and door heaters.
The Embraco Flow Pro fan pack features a variable-speed motor that dynamically adjusts its speed to application and ambient conditions, coupled with a proprietary blade design for improved airflow.
The latest version of the YouControl software comes with SVS Assistant, an auto-tuning tool that helps define optimal operating parameters for variable-speed compressors, to help customers’ engineers in the development phase and reduce development time from weeks to just a few days, according to Michel Moreira, Commercial Appliances business director for North America.
“Both generations will remain on the market, complemented by new versions to be launched in the future,” he said.
“Our vision is to empower our customers to tailor the refrigerator loads’ behaviour in a simple, clean, and fast way like no one else can do, providing them this authority through the unique YouControl suite.”
Moreira said R290 (Propane) has already proven to be the best future-proof refrigerant choice in commercial refrigeration for its low GWP and its energy efficiency. “We have researched this topic for decades,” he said.
“Embraco was the pioneer in using natural refrigerants back in 1994, and we maintain the leadership in this field today with the most complete mix of R290 fixed-speed and variable-speed compressor portfolios in the market, both for new equipment and for replacements.”
