Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA) is reviewing its product stewardship program to take back and safely dispose of used and unwanted refrigerant.
As part of the review licensed technicians, contractors, wholesalers and distributors across the refrigeration and air conditioning sector are invited to take part in a short survey.
The review will help RRA understand how the current model is performing and how it can continue to evolve in response to a changing refrigerant landscape and emerging risks.
The survey, which has been developed by the Nous Group, is designed to capture practical, on the ground insight from those working within the sector.
It will be used to help build a clearer picture of day to day practices, incentives and operational realities which influence refrigerant use, participation in the scheme, recovery behaviours and environmental outcomes.
These insights will sit alongside targeted stakeholder engagement, research and analysis to inform future recommendations.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the future of the RRA scheme by sharing your experience of how it operates in practice, helping to support practical, workable approaches to refrigerant ‘recovery and return’ across the industry.
All responses are anonymous and the survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.
The survey deadline is May 13, 2026 and is available here:
