Air quality, corrosion protection and high-performance filtration were key themes at the Camfil stand.

ARBS 2026 was an opportunity for Camfil to exhibit a broad range of filtration technologies aimed at healthcare, industrial and mission-critical applications.

Speaking at the exhibition, Camfil national product manager John Mediati said the company’s display covered everything from entry-level pleated panel filters through to advanced molecular filtration systems and HEPA solutions designed for highly sensitive environments.

“Our range spans from entry-level pleated panel filters through to high efficiency bag filters designed for air handling units covering a broad spectrum of application needs,” Mediati said.

Camfil’s premium filtration products are designed to maintain their efficiency throughout the life of the filter while delivering lower operating costs and reduced energy consumption.

Mediati said some of the company’s premium filter technologies could even operate without pre-filters while still delivering strong dust-holding performance and long-term efficiency.

A major focus of the stand was Camfil’s molecular filtration technology, which targets odours, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and acid gases commonly found in industrial applications such as wastewater treatment plants, pulp and paper facilities and heavy industry.

According to Mediati, acid gas filtration plays an important role in protecting sensitive electronic systems from corrosion.

“Our systems remove acidic gases to help protect sensitive electronic components from corrosion and extend equipment lifespan,” he said.

Camfil highlighted a range of specialised filtration media and frame configurations designed to suit different operating environments and contaminant loads.

Camfil’s AirImage-COR corrosion monitoring system provides real-time remote monitoring of corrosion conditions using copper and silver sensors.

The system allows operators to remotely monitor environmental conditions and determine when filtration media may be exhausted or when operating conditions have changed beyond acceptable limits.

“This enables operators to continuously monitor corrosion levels and ensure they remain within controlled limits over time,” Mediati said.

The technology is particularly relevant for switch rooms, control rooms and data centres where corrosive gases can significantly shorten the lifespan of electronic equipment.

Camfil also showcased a range of products developed or engineered locally in Australia, including the CleanSeal AU HEPA terminal housing and PowerClean, a commercial scale kitchen exhaust system.

The PowerClean system features an electrostatic precipitator with auto-cleaning technology and is engineered locally, with a number of key components manufactured in Australia. The system is designed to support compliance even in the most demanding commercial cooking environments.

Filtration media is imported due to the relatively small size of the Australian market, the company maintains warehouses and offices throughout Australia, including Canberra, with local stockholding forming a major part of its service strategy.

“With strong local stockholding, we’re typically able to supply most products within a couple of days,” Mediati said.

Camfil services a wide range of industries including hospitals, commercial buildings, wastewater treatment facilities and data centres, with Mediati describing data centres as a particularly strong growth sector for the business.

The company also offers installation, testing and certification services through dedicated internal teams, including cleanroom certification and HEPA filter replacement.

Mediati highlighted that, even as market conditions adjust in response to interest rate pressures and reduced project activity, steady demand for replacement filtration continues to support consistent business performance.

Camfil positions itself at the premium end of the filtration market, prioritising performance, quality and lifecycle efficiency over upfront cost.

“Our focus is on delivering high performance filtration that optimises long term operational outcomes,” he said.
