Most of the action at ARBSQLD took place on the trade show floor with plenty of product announcements and previews of what’s to come in the next few months.
The Airvent stand was packed with product including new additions just launched in the Australian market.
The Integrated Power Sense + Run-On-Timer Module is a compact, installer-friendly solution that delivers smart automation and reliable performance across multiple applications.
By combining power sensing and an adjustable run-on timer in one unit, it eliminates the need for separate devices, saving time and reducing installation costs.
Once wired to the GPO, the module automatically detects when an appliance such as a dryer, rangehood or air conditioner is in use and switches on the fan. After shutdown, the built-in timer keeps the fan running for 1–30 minutes to clear residual heat, steam, or stale air.
A key advantage is its ability to provide air conditioner interlock control.
When the air conditioner is operating, the fan system is activated to supply fresh air, balance pressure, or exhaust stale air. This makes it ideal for both residential and commercial projects, enhancing indoor comfort while cutting energy waste.
Whether in laundries, kitchens, or integrated with AC systems, the AV-PS0510A-T is the smarter, more efficient way to automate ventilation.
It will be available in November 2025.
Mini VRF Series
The big drawcard at the Midea stand was the Mini VRF Series. It features state-of-the-art variable refrigerant flow technology.
It precisely adjusts cooling and heating output to match the real-time demands of individual zones. This not only improves energy efficiency but also enables highly personalized comfort. Whether for a large-scale commercial building or a luxury residential complex, the Mini VRF Series is designed for the most demanding requirements.
Commenting on ARBSQLD, a Midea spokesperson said the company was happy with the strong reception.
“We are excited about the opportunities this event has created and look forward to introducing more innovative HVAC solutions to the Australian market, further enhancing comfort and efficiency across the region’s buildings,” the spokesperson said.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioners Australia had a stand at ARBSQLD which featured its all-new KXZ3 VRF systems.
This next-generation VRF system utilises R32 refrigerant and is designed to deliver powerful performance, industry-leading efficiency, and lower environmental impact.
The KXZ3 series has been developed to meet growing demand for systems that balance energy efficiency, sustainability, and flexible system design.
The KXZ3 reduces CO₂ equivalent emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional R410A systems—making it an ideal solution for projects with NABERS and Green Star Rating goals.
Despite its powerful performance, the KXZ3 is also one of the most compact systems in its class.
At the heart of the KXZ3 system is the advanced VTCC+ (Variable Temperature and Capacity Control). This intelligent feature automatically adjusts refrigerant pressure to match the partial load conditions of indoor units, ensuring optimal capacity and energy savings while maintaining user comfort.
The KXZ3 also features advanced continuous heating, maintaining stable warmth even during defrost cycles—a critical advantage in colder climates.
Designed with serviceability in mind, the unit features a removable front panel for easy access to internal components. Additional safety accessories such as refrigerant leak detectors and shut-off valve kits are also available, aligning with evolving R32 compliance requirements.
