Dubbed the “fire brigade of HVAC,” Cool Breeze Rentals is the first responder for temporary cooling solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

From floods and COVID outbreaks to office HVAC outages and server room shutdowns, Cool Breeze Rentals responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When customers require urgent critical solutions, the team keeps a cool head, installing equipment with speed and professionalism.

In the mechanical services industry, products and service matter — but coverage is critical. Cool Breeze Rentals has branches in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Newcastle, Wellington, and Auckland, supported by remote agents in North Queensland and Western Australia.

What sets the company apart? Rapid response times and a wide product portfolio. Backed by a vast fleet of specialist assets, equipment can be redeployed across Australia and New Zealand to meet any crisis.

With a range of portable spot coolers from 3.8kW to 20kW, the fleet also includes large packaged units, evaporative coolers, heaters, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers. Healthcare providers often require HEPA filtration systems, while event organisers typically rely on packaged units.

The client base reflects this diversity, spanning hospitals, airlines, police services, defence, and financial institutions. With such a blue-chip list, compliance is non-negotiable. All products are tested and prepared to industry standards.

“We don’t just provide the best products — we provide the best people,” says Dane Taylor, National Sales Manager.

“Occupational Health & Safety is a priority, which is why all staff undergo police checks, Working With Children accreditation, Working From Heights training, and WPCG accreditation. This is especially important when working in schools, childcare facilities, or sensitive environments.”

Cool Breeze Rentals is more than just a hire company. Alongside temporary installations, the business also sells equipment and provides ongoing maintenance to keep units in peak condition.

“We take care of all things HVAC, so our customers can stay focused on their core business,” Dane said.

“With in excess of 100 staff nationally during peak periods, we’re ready to provide support anytime.”

Like any first responder, Cool Breeze Rentals has countless stories from the frontline. After-hours callouts are not limited to critical infrastructure — office HVAC failures can also bring workplaces to a standstill.

“One evening, our team was called to a Melbourne CBD office where the central HVAC had failed during a heatwave, placing pressure on the overheating servers on site,” Dane said.

“Within hours, we had portable units rolled into key areas to keep operations running until permanent repairs were completed. These works were performed while others were at home enjoying their dinner — reinforcing the Cool Breeze Rentals commitment to offer solutions anywhere, anytime.”

On Australia Day, the company received another urgent callout:

“The HVAC system had failed in a hospital server room in Sydney’s inner west, and temperatures were rising rapidly,” Dane recalled.

“An after-hours technician was mobilised with several portable spot coolers and was onsite within two hours. Units were rolled into position and ducted into the hospital’s existing exhaust system. Temperatures stabilised quickly, giving the mechanical services team time to source parts and carry out repairs.”

Not all emergencies are as straightforward. Some callouts are in remote regions of Queensland or Western Australia, while floods often demand a wide range of restoration equipment.

“We are fortunate to have both the resources and product range to support our clients wherever they need us,” Dane said.

“Our job is simple: to keep critical infrastructure operating.”
