GENERAL Australia (formerly Fujitsu General) has launched anywAiR technology Zoneconnex, a new Wi-Fi enabled zone control solution designed to give users greater control over comfort across ducted air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial environments.
Zoneconnex offers a cost-effective zoning option for customers seeking enhanced functionality without having to upgrade to the most premium control systems.
The system provides independent control of up to 10 zones, letting users manage airflow across different areas of a home or building.
With adjustments in five per cent increments, Zoneconnex provides precise control over airflow distribution, helping improve comfort while reducing unnecessary energy use.
The system supports more efficient operation by letting users condition only the spaces they need, while maintaining consistent temperatures throughout the home or building.
GENERAL ANZ general manager, product and strategy, Kyle Rafter, said the introduction of anywAiR technology Zoneconnex reflects a shift towards more adaptable and user-driven climate control.

Users operate the system via a modern wall-mounted controller designed for simple, everyday use.
Key functions such as temperature, fan speed, and operating modes are easily accessible, while built-in scheduling lets them tailor operation to suit their daily routines.
Users can also access the system remotely through a mobile app available on iOS and Android devices, letting them adjust zones, temperatures, and schedules from anywhere. The intuitive app interface makes it easy to manage system settings on the go.
The design supports straightforward, efficient installation. The Zoneconnex controller connects directly to the indoor unit printed circuit board (PCB) via a standard universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) port.
Using the same connection method as existing NXT adaptors. This reduces the need for additional components and simplifies the installation process.
A dedicated setup mode lets installers complete commissioning using the controller's own Wi-Fi signal, removing the need to connect to a local network during installation and helping streamline on-site setup.

Zoneconnex is compatible with a broad range of GENERAL ducted indoor units, supporting both new installations and system upgrades.
