Building on years of delivering stellar quality air conditioning products to Australians, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) has once again been awarded the Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customer Award in 2025.

Competing against some of the most recognised names in the industry, MHIAA has continued to lead the way in delivering exceptional performance, quality, and value to Australian households.

In Canstar Blue’s latest research, MHIAA achieved five-star ratings in six out of seven categories - including overall satisfaction, value for money, performance, features & functionality, quietness, and design - and an impressive four stars for ease of use.

These results mean MHIAA outperformed all other brands across most categories measured by Canstar Blue research.

With performance identified as the number one driver of overall satisfaction, MHIAA’s ongoing investment in technology and innovation continues to deliver a quality experience to customers Australia-wide.

Standout features such as the Allergen Clear System, self-clean operation, anti-microbial fan, Wi-Fi connectivity, and outstanding energy efficiency ensure that customers enjoy not only year-round comfort but also cleaner indoor air and lower running costs.

MHIAA managing director, Mr. Akihiro Nakajima, said this award is a great honour and reflects the team’s commitment to quality, performance, and innovation.

“We’re grateful to Australian consumers for their continued trust in our products. Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition shows we are delivering on our promise of powerful, energy-efficient, and reliable air conditioning solutions,” he said.

The Canstar Blue 2025 research surveyed over 3,000 Australians, with 23% reporting that they had purchased and installed an air conditioner in the past three years — representing 665 respondents.

The demographic breakdown highlighted a strong and diverse customer base nationwide, with particularly high ownership levels in Queensland, where the climate naturally drives higher demand.

The survey also revealed an even 50/50 gender split, reflecting that purchasing decisions around air conditioning are made across households, not concentrated within one demographic group.

What stands out is the influence of third-party recognition on consumer behaviour. More than half of respondents (51%) said that independent endorsements — such as Canstar Blue’s Most Satisfied Customers Award — play a decisive role in helping them choose which air conditioner to buy.

This underscores the value of trusted, unbiased recommendations in a competitive market, where consumers are often overwhelmed by choice and technical specifications.

For brands like MHI, such recognition not only reinforces customer trust but also serves as a powerful tool to guide purchase decisions and strengthen market positioning.

Canstar Blue is one of Australia’s most trusted consumer review and comparison websites, providing Australians with the information they need to make better purchasing decisions since 2010.
