Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) has received equal Best Brand recognition in the 2025 CHOICE Best Brand Awards for Air-Conditioners.

Following an impressive six-year winning streak from 2018 to 2023 and achieving a close second in 2024, MHIAA has once again returned to the top of the CHOICE ranking in 2025.

The CHOICE Best Brand Award combines independent lab testing with nationwide consumer feedback, assessing brands across product performance (40%), reliability (30%), customer satisfaction (20%) and recommendation ratio (10%). Only brands that deliver consistently high results across all four criteria are eligible for endorsement.

In the 2025 CHOICE Best Brand survey, MHIAA delivered an outstanding performance across all key measures, with 67 models tested, a 90% reliability rating, 91% customer satisfaction and an overall Best Brand score of 74%.

This result saw MHIAA achieve the equal highest Best Brand score this year, underscoring the strength and consistency of its product range.

The company acknowledged the role of Australian consumers who participated in the survey, noting that their honest feedback not only secured this recognition but also continues to guide MHIAA in refining and expanding its solutions for local households.

MHIAA’s equal Best Brand result demonstrates strong performance across the board and reflects the confidence Australian households have in the brand’s extensive range of air-conditioning systems.

The company has expressed its gratitude to all consumers who participated in the evaluation and provided honest feedback – feedback that continues to help drive the development and expansion of MHI’s product offering.

Air-conditioning remains a significant investment for Australians – not only from an upfront cost perspective but also given that heating and cooling typically account for around 40% of home energy consumption.

Independent accolades such as the CHOICE Best Brand Award provide consumers with valuable reassurance that the products they choose are efficient, reliable and designed to perform in real-world Australian conditions.

MHIAA managing director, Akihiro Nakajima, said MHIAA are humbled to receive the CHOICE Best Brand Award for 2025 and deeply honoured by the trust Australians continue to place in their products.

“Our commitment to engineering quality and long-term reliability remains unchanged, and we will continue working hard to uphold this trust,” he said.

MHIAA marketing manager, Jenny Perello, said this recognition means so much because it comes directly from Australian consumers.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to choose MHIAA, and we remain committed to delivering reliable, energy-efficient air-conditioning solutions that Australian families can depend on,” Perello said.

As Experts in Air, MHIAA will continue to support Australian households with advanced technology and locally developed solutions designed to keep homes comfortable today, tomorrow and well into the future.
