Ian Eitzen has been appointed managing director at Condair Pty Ltd, following the retirement of Kevin Cronin at the end of June.

Eitzen has been promoted from his previous role as business development manager.

“It is an honour to take over the reins from Kevin, who founded the business in 2001 under the name of Aireven,” Eitzen said.

“He has developed the organisation to be Australia’s leading humidity control company. Now as a member of the Condair Group, Condair Pty Ltd offers the widest range of humidification systems available anywhere in the world.

“I look forward to taking the company into the future and developing Condair’s business even further in the coming years.”

Eitzen said Condair has recently extended its catalogue to include a wide range of dehumidifiers, covering both desiccant and refrigerant systems, which will provide the company with significant opportunities in the near future.

“Humidification is especially relevant at the moment given the increased focus on maintaining the optimal indoor air quality for building occupant health,” he said.

“This is something that humidification systems play an integral role in during the dry winter months.”

Announcing his retirement, Cronin said it is the right time to step down while Condair Pty Ltd is in a strong market position.

“With his extensive HVAC experience, enthusiasm and drive, Ian is the ideal person to lead the company and continue its expansion and growth in all fields of humidity control and evaporative cooling,” Cronin said.

Eitzen first joined Condair in 2018 in the newly created role of business development manager.  He was able to bring a vast amount of market knowledge generated over 30 years in the HVACR industry.

Since joining the company he has worked closely with Cronin and the entire team to develop existing relationships with consultants and contractors as well as growing Condair’s business into new markets.
