Elizabeth Paparo is brand & communications manager at the Beijer Ref Group.
Elizabeth has been working in the HVACR industry for the past 15 years and has found plenty of opportunities to make a difference. “I like the depth of our industry, there’s scope to make a difference,” she says.
Elizabeth has worked at school events promoting the trade, supported apprentices through the Kirby Apprentice Fund which was established in 2019 and promoted programs to encourage the take-up of more environmentally friendly technologies.
“I have embraced all these facets of our industry and these are the things that keep me engaged and inspired. It is what makes my work meaningful to me,” she says.
Recent career highlights include managing the Kirby HVAC Partner Trip to Japan earlier this year and being tasked with project managing ARBS 2022.
Elizabeth says these are the jobs that really just come down to hard work. “I feel like a large part of my career has been about consistency, maintaining a high work ethic and just getting the job done,” she says. “I am lucky to work for a company that is passionate about educating the next generation of youngsters pursuing a career in HVACR.”
