Michelle Rose is a third year apprentice at D&T Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Michelle has always thrived on large mechanical projects. When it comes to technical abilities Michelle is a stand-out. She has also demonstrated exceptional leadership skills when it comes to mentoring new apprentices.
Michelle says she loves the freedom and challenges that come with being a technician. “I get to work across different locations and work on a wide variety of equipment,” she says. “It provides a great sense of accomplishment.”
Michelle says it was the variety of work that first attracted her to the industry.
“Every day can be vastly different and there are so many different avenues that can be pursued through this industry,” she says.
Michelle has worked closely with different contractors undertaking chilled water mechanical installations. She has even worked with medical gases.
“There are so many facets to this industry and new technologies being introduced all the time which is why I believe HVACR is so special,” she says. “HVACR is an essential service it will never be obsolete.”
