Eliza Pereira is a service technician at Seda Services. Eliza appreciates the magic of working in the HVACR trade.
“I really believe it is the best trade to learn, we have our own specialized skills but also encompass various parts of other fields. We work on water pipes like plumbers, we work with electricity like electricians, we work on building fabric like carpenters and work with motors like mechanics,” she says.
“We can do what no other trade can do but we can also do plenty of jobs that would otherwise require multiple trades people to do.” It’s clear that Eliza is proud to work in HVACR.
“I have always felt like I am a valued part of my team, an equal that is an important part of the business,” she says. “I represent Seda at high school career days to encourage other women to become part of the HVACR industry. I want to show the next generation of women that this is a rewarding career path.”
Eliza has worked on a range of sites working on a variety of HVACR assets. “I have been lucky enough to do some supermarket work doing service, maintenance and installation,” she says. “In my current role I do maintenance across a number of hospitals and commercial sites. I am excited about learning more and gaining more experience.”
